Gargh! another trip to the Apple store and I spoke to another genius and this time we plugged it in to an 18W USB-C charger, this time it booted correctly! In the morning I discovered that I hadn't made sure the power supply was connected to the mains correctly and so had not been charging the device and so I was greeted with a brand new iPad doing the battery screen reboot loop as above. Unfortunately with the new unit when it got low on power I plugged it in and left it over night to charge. I took this unit to the Apple store and the genius replaced under AppleCare warranty. ![]() When I connected it to an old iPad power supply (USB-A 12W) or 2017 iMac it would not charge or boot only giving me a loop of empty battery icon, screen power down and repeat in an endless loop. I had the exact same issue (iPad Pro 11" bought March 2019) no issues with the device until a couple of days ago when I used it until it turned itself off. ![]()
